Notes - William Thomas Amiger was born July 16, 1870, to Rowland Amiger (age 20) and Margaret Alexander (age 16) in Culpeper, Virginia. He prepared for college at State Normal School in Geneseo, New York prior to attending college at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1899. He graduated from Central Law School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1912 with his LL.D.
While in college, he married Eleanor Green of Castleton, Virginia on November 30, 1892. They became the parents of five children. By October 1, 1924, Amiger was in Nashville, where he was among the first faculty at the newly opened American Baptist Theological Seminary.
Amiger was an author as well, publishing at least three books. He died May 26, 1929, at 58 years old, in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee and was buried at Mount Lawn Cemetery in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania.
